Medium Ripples Double Clam Shell Earrings Bi-Metal 22K gold & sterling silver

These earrings were fabricated using traditional methods from 18 gauge bi-metal which is layered 22K gold and sterling silver. Reminiscent of natural forms, they are formed by shaping closely hand sawn lines.

Because the earwire on these earrings are a sideways spiral, it is like having two different pairs of earring because they can be worn with the wire passed through the front or the back of the ear creating two different looks! When worn with the ear wire fed front to back through the ear lobe they appear like clam shells, when work back to front, they appear as spaces that draws your eye to keep looking.

All of the jewelry pieces in the Ripples Collection have been fabricated from precious metal sheets, meticulously pierced in radiating patterns inspired by capillary waves. After cutting, each one is hand formed into dimensional shapes and finished with sterling silver earring posts or ear wires. Reminiscent of natural forms, these earrings resemble tiny ripples in a puddle or small sea creatures.

Each piece has been polished to a silky satin finish and tumble hardened for durability. Due to the handmade nature of this collection there may be very slight variations in actual measurements.
