Description
When you are drawn to the water, you want to express yourself with jewelry that communicates who you are.
When not being worn this is a conversation piece sure to brighten your wall or mantle. This brooch has been elaborately designed and made from light weight 3D printed polyamide (Nylon) that has been hand dyed and intergrated with cast sterling silver components. You are sure to turn heads whether wearing or displaying this piece. The terminal ends made like turning blocks allow for this piece to also be worn suspended as a pendant or neckpiece. I use these turning blocks in many of my pieces which allow for more versatile rigging when being worn.
Due to the hand finished nature of this material, there are many variable in the color scheme that can be customized.
The sails of a junk boat create an angular composition just ripe for abstraction. Even though job of a boat is the same all over the world, to move across a body of water safely, every culture has variations on boat and ship forms. The commonalities and differences create patterns and forms as diverse as humanity itself.
